Kuohu Studios is a music recording studio, music production residence and event space located right by the sea, in the city center area of Helsinki. A cosy and inspiring safe space where you are welcome! Come to us with your own productions, artist project, co-write group, band or even a small crowd. To engage in artistic pondering, to meet new colleagues or to improve your professional skills. To celebrate the release of a new album or just to enjoy the beauty of sound! Work at Kuohu Studios on your own, or hire our skilled professionals to do producing, mixing and recording for you.

We are organizing a stream of events in 2025, supporting the artistic and financial development of independent artists and producers as well as networking across boundaries. Workshops, Get Shit Done -laptop gatherings, Production Recidencies, Mentoring, Listening Parties and even a Podcast! The events are open for everyone to apply to and diversity is taken into account in everything we do.
Right now at Kuohu Studios there's a lot of planning, meeting having and email writing going on. But we will launch our very first Kuohu Workshop soon and applications will then be open! Join our mailing list to be first in line when things start to unfold.
Kuohu Workshops are all about Career Success and Quality Sound. Workshops will be held by experts from the industry and in addition there will be Get Shit Done -laptop gatherings held afterwards, where you can come with your own laptop to get those emails written!

The website of Kuohu Studios is now open! We are currently working on quite a lot of things to launch the events of Kuohu Studios. Making deals and connecting with collaborators. Installing equipment and planning and budjeting. But what I'm actually dying to do is reaching out to the community! The first step to do that is finally here.
